Aquatics Program DirectorYMCA of Austin Townlake Branch is seeking a passionate, experienced professional to provide leadership as Aquatics Program Director. This full-time staff position will be responsible for the daily operations of YMCA facilities, program development, recruiting, training and evaluation of staff. Four year degree, minimum 2 year aquatic facilities and management experience and aquatic certifications (CPR, first aid, lifeguard and aquatics instructor). Fitness Director
YMCA of Austin Townlake Branch is seeking a qualified person to fill the role as Fitness Director. This is a challenging career opportunity to supervise the Fitness Department at the large and rapidly growing downtown Austin branch which has 3,200 membership units and 7,800 members! This position will be responsible for 150 classes per week and over 2,000 persons on personal fitness programs and in the weight and cardio facilities. A key area of emphasis will be engaging members and assisting them with their health and fitness needs through excellent customer service. The Fitness Director will be responsible for over 100 staff as well as for creating programs that are on the cutting edge of the fitness industry. They will also take an active role in the programs and equipment/facility upkeep, in proper financial development/controls. Participation in the annual campaign and recruitment of member volunteers for the campaign will be also be important elements of the job. Part Time Positions
Lifeguards and Swim Instructors (ALL BRANCHES)
General Function: Responsible for the safety and well being of all those in the pool area. Provide a safe and healthy instructional swimming experience for class participants in accordance with the National YMCA Aquatic Program guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum 16 years of age. Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Basic aquatic skills and knowledge of pool maintenance
- All relevant aquatic certifications, i.e. Lifeguard or instruction
Afterschool Site Leads and Counselors (Program Services)
General Functions: Afterschool staff run safe, fun, and enriching afterschool programs for elementary school kids. Programs operate at local elementary schools (Austin ISD, Round Rock ISD, Manor ISD, Hays CISD) from school dismissal until 6:30 pm. Staff lead activities such as arts & crafts, organized games, and character development and average 18-20 hours per week. Send resume and afternoon availability to Erin Douglas.
Housekeeping (Townlake, Hays, The Springs)

General functions: Responsible for the upkeep and general appearance of branch

General Functions: To provide a safe and healthy instructional experience and to teach participants rules, techniques, safety procedures, and skills to evaluate performance in appropriate areas.
Requirements:
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Basic skills and knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures
- Specific knowledge of a particular skill or activity
- All Aquatic Instructors must be water safety trained
- All Math and Reading Instructors must be at least 21 years of age
