COA/North Austin YMCA’s Best Buy Teen Tech Center® is a modern, technology-driven safe space for youth ages 13-18. Located in North Austin, this drop-in center allows teens to explore cutting edge technology and express themselves creatively through personal projects they are passionate about, while learning valuable life skills and discovering new career pathways.

We offer hands-on learning for:

• Music recording
• Podcasting
• Graphic design
• Film production & editing
• Photography
• Coding
• And more!

TEENS:

The Teen Tech Center is available free of charge to teens in the Austin Metroplex. You must be either a YMCA member or a Y community member (community membership is free.)

STEP 1. If you’re not already a Y member, sign up for your free North Austin YMCA Community membership.

STEP 2. Sign up for one of the Teen Tech Center cohorts.

MENTORS:

We’re calling on passionate individuals from all walks of life to become mentors at our center. Your role will be crucial in building meaningful connections with our teens, bridging the gap between aspiration and achievement, and helping pave the way for a brighter future. By sharing your expertise, insights, and experiences, you’ll not only make a difference in their lives but also contribute to the growth and resilience of our community as a whole.

Requirements: 19+ and Background Check

No Technology Experience Required, Just a Passion for Building Meaningful Connections with our Teens!

  • Please sign up by following the above steps 1 & 2 for the school year free of charge. No walk-ins allowed; you must sign up by following these steps.
