Join Us for Winter Fun!
Winter break is a wonderful time of year! Have you thought about what your kids will be doing during their two (or more!) weeks off from school? The Greater Austin YMCA has your answer! Our Holiday Camps offer care at six school-age locations and Camp Moody Outdoor Camp with trained Youth Development Leaders, who will guide your child through a fun and engaging array of themed crafts, activities, and organized games.
All activities are based on the Y’s character development values and the spirited creativity of our curriculum team. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your camper is enjoying enrichment activities under the watchful eyes of skilled and qualified YMCA counselors. Your camper will make new friends, gain confidence, and expand their horizons!
Registration Details
Registration is OPEN for Winter Camps. Register by December 13th to secure your spot!
Camps offered are school-age (4–12) through the Extend-A-Care Y and YMCA Camp Moody outdoor camp (8-13).
Financial assistance may be available to qualifying families.

EAC Y Winter Break Holiday Camps
Theme: Winter Wonders Around the World
Get ready for an exciting journey with our Winter Wonders Around the World unit! Over the next two weeks, we’ll explore how different cultures celebrate winter through fun learning activities, stories, crafts, games, physical activity, outdoor play, and more! From the snowy landscapes of Canada to the warm traditions in Australia, we’ll discover unique customs, delicious seasonal foods, and festive celebrations from around the globe. We’ll also create our own winter art projects and share our favorite winter activities. Join us as we celebrate the beauty and magic of winter in all its forms and learn how people around the world make this season special!

Camp Moody Winter Outdoor Camp
Come join us out at Camp Moody this Winter Break for some festive fun in the great outdoors! This week campers will get to enjoy the traditional camp activities of challenge course, archery, canoeing, arts and crafts, field games, and atlatl- but all with a new wintery twist. Be sure to get ready for karaoke, Jeopardy, smores by the bonfire, Moody snowman fashion show, and a snow fight!
Ages: 8-13 years

- No camp on December 24th-26th and January 1st.

In-Center Mini-Camps
YMCA mini-camps are a perfect destination for every child aged 3-14 who enjoys playing and being active.
Mini-camps offer opportunities to learn new skills and make new friends while the kids are out of school for the summer and on holiday breaks. Ages vary by program.
Note: Mini-camps are specialty, half-day camps that take place at YMCA facilities. They are separate and distinctive from Extend-A-Care YMCA camps. If you are looking for a full-day camp, please check out EAC Y camps or YMCA Camp Moody!
