EAC Y Curriculum

The EAC Y provides developmentally-appropriate quality curriculum projects created by the EAC Y’s curriculum specialists.

Our out of school curriculum includes Science & Math, Literacy Activities, Food Craft Projects, Social & Emotional Learning, Arts & Crafts, Social Studies, Sports, and CATCH Games.

Upcoming 2025 Curriculum Themes

April 14th – 18th
THE GREEN MOVEMENT (EARTH DAY)

Earth Day is an important day that is celebrated on April 22nd, this day is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues. Students will explore topics such as recycling, conservation, and renewable energy.

April 21st – 25th
HEALTHY KIDS DAY

This week students will work together and work through different team building acticvities and be challenged to communicate with one another to reach a common goal. Students will also celebrate healthy kids week and learn about nutrition, physical activity and the importacne of mental health.

April 28th – May 2nd
MAY FLOWERS

Creativity blossoms this week through art and literacy activities expressing flowery sentiments in honor of the month of May. Students will gain hands-on lessons in botany and flower morphology as they create flower crafts and have conversations around different social emotional topics.

May 5th – 9th
PALEONTOLOGISTS

Our paleontologists will explore dinosaurs, both big and small! They will discover different dinosaurs through fossil creations, paint volcanic eruptions, and measuring footprints.

May 12th – 16th
COLIN’S HOPE

This week we are working with Colin’s Hope to learn about water safety. Students will engage in interactive lessons about the safest way to have fun in the water. By the time Spring Break is here students will be able to show off their new water safety knowledge!

May 19th – 23rd
CINEMATICS

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! This week groups will read and write their own skits while crafting their props. Students will also learn about the importance of inviting people to join in while playing! Students will take on the stage to showcase their work before they draw the curtains on Friday!

May 26th – 30th
CREATIVE SCULPTORS

Did you know that Picasso produced over 150,000 pieces of art? Students will unlock their inner Picasso by using any leftover materials to make paper scultures, cubism paintings, and much more! Students will learn about different art styles and discover what style suits their artistic expression.
