Welcome, Cailean Johnson!

Hello, I’m Cailean Johnson, and I’m joining the Northwest Family YMCA as your Associate Executive Director.

Born and raised in sunny California, I am a passionate advocate for health and wellness, deeply committed to fostering a vibrant community. I have been happily married to my wonderful wife, Kristin, for 23 years, and together we are proud parents of three amazing children: Casey, Brooklyn, and Elijah. Our family is excited to join the Northwest Family YMCA community, where we look forward to building new friendships and connections.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, which has provided me with a solid foundation in health and fitness. My career began in education as a Physical Education and Health Science teacher, where I inspired students to embrace a love for wellness and active living.

After relocating to Seattle in 2002, I immersed myself in the community for 12 years before moving to Texas in 2014. Over the past two decades in the health and fitness industry, I have focused on creating a positive culture and fostering a sense of belonging, enabling individuals to thrive through health and wellness initiatives.

Most recently, I served as the Executive Director of the Monty Ballard & Mark A Chapman YMCAs within the Greater Houston YMCA Association. I am thrilled to bring my experience and enthusiasm to the Northwest Family YMCA team, where I am dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and enhancing community well-being for all.
