Whether you’re looking to hone your athletic performance or just getting started on your fitness journey, the Y’s programs can help you reach your goals. Along the way, you’ll meet other Y members who are dedicated to health and wellness. Y fitness is about more than just weight loss programs. They’re about strengthening the community, and you’re invited to be part of this movement.

Swimming and Aquatics

Learn to swim with the national leader in swim lessons! From infant water basics to child water safety, swim team, and masters swim, the Y offers a program to meet your needs. Water safety is not a luxury – it’s a necessity.

Adult Sports

Play a little! Team sports are for adults too. Get on a league and enjoy the benefits of teamwork and physical challenge that gets your blood pumping. Adult sports at the Y focus on fun and play with a competitive edge.

Fitness

Your fitness journey is unique, and it changes throughout your life. That’s why the Greater Austin YMCA offers a range of fitness options. If you’re looking for low impact, we offer aqua classes and gentle stretching. If you’re ready to increase the intensity, we offer an array of Les Mills classes. With hundreds of programs each week, there’s something here just for you.

Adaptive Programs

Our Adaptive Fitness programs for those with disabilities go beyond conventional fitness to suit different lifestyles and varying levels of fitness – offering a more personalized approach to our group fitness sessions with one-on-one advice, goal setting, and tailored session planning from our expert trainers.

Childcare

From child watch for youngsters while you exercise to mini-camps, early learning readiness and parent’s day out, to afterschool care and summer camp, the Y provides enriching childcare with a focus on play, exploration, and character building.

Sports (General)

Team sports at the Y focus on skill development, participation, and teamwork. Winning is celebrated, but it’s not the most important aspect of the game. Get into the game with adult and youth sports leagues and skill building clinics.

Camps

YMCA camps keep kids active and engaged over the summer and during school breaks. Choose from all-day and half-day summer programs with themes like STEM, sports, performing arts and dance.

Youth Programs

From the earliest learners to youngsters in after school programs, we lead with a cradle-to-career educational philosophy. Children learn and grow in a space that stands for equality and access to all children.

Youth sports programming encourages and promotes healthy kids, families, and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, team-building as well as individual development, a positive self-image and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.

We strengthen the Austin community through programs like CPR & first aid, community gardening, volunteer outreach and conversational circles. There are many ways to get involved with community programs that enrich your life.
