Some of you may already know Adrienne as the Senior Executive Director of Northwest Family YMCA. She will be leading both Northwest Family Y and the Four Points location upon its opening in 2024. With a deep connection to the community, Adrienne proudly calls the Four Points community her home, as she grew up in the neighboring Anderson Mill area from the young age of 7.
Adrienne’s journey with the Greater Austin YMCA began as the Executive Director and swiftly progressed to her current role as Senior Executive Director in December 2022.
Prior to joining the Y, she held positions at admired Austin organizations such as the Center for Applied Cognitive Science at the University of Texas at Austin, where she served as the Director of Administration and Partnerships, and Thinkery, where she worked as the Director of Learning Experiences.
Driven by a passion for crafting engaging, interactive, and transformative experiences that foster inclusivity, Adrienne is thrilled to be part of the leadership team overseeing this innovative location. She is excited to aid in the vision for the Four Points YMCA that aims to establish a new standard for the Y to serve as a supportive community hub where members can play, work, and connect.
Collaboration lies at the heart of Adrienne’s approach, as she works to shape partnerships with schools, universities, local businesses and nonprofits, community members, and corporations to co-create experiences tailored to the community’s needs. As a member of the LGBT community, Adrienne’s personal dedication to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion (DEAI) profoundly influences her community engagement, program design, and organizational development strategies
When asked about her favorite aspect of working for the Greater Austin YMCA, Adrienne’s response was prompt and heartfelt. “It’s the people—the staff, the members—it feels like working alongside family.”
